I quite like it. I mean I can’t afford an edge now and if we need to replace the explorer we will likely go a size bigger but I applaud Ford for trying to bring excitment to the crossover genere.

I agree. I’ve been wondering why they haven’t done it for a few years now. As far as boring crossovers go, the Edge is pretty decent looking and sportier looking than others in its class. Hopefully they sell well. Exciting boring cars are always better than boring boring cars.

ST is going to be for Ford what SS was for early-aughts GM

I love the look of the Edge. Now do you think I can talk my wife into one of these in a couple years when she’s ready to get rid of the Soul? Probably not.

Wobbles was right!
I have no interest in the thing myself though.

That was the exact thought I had. Although I do actually thing the Edge ST looks good, it definitely dilutes the brand.

Always kinda liked the Edge “sport”. Someone in my neighborhood has what looks to be a 2012ish Edge sport in blue and it looks great! I can definitely see the appeal

I for one have no issues with this being a thing. I wont buy one, but kudos to ford for building it!

I do like it, and would consider buying it. Not at full sticker price though.

We in the U.K. only started getting the Edge in 2016 and while the numbers sold doubled in 2017 it’s still a total of 6,000 (most being the Titanium trim rather than the Sport trim, pretty much equal splits on manual and automatic) for 2017.
The 4x4 market is just not seen as Ford territory.
The Kuga would of been better for the U.K. and possibly Europe but even then it’s only marginally less elderly desired than the Ecosport.
